Extending a trading mobile app for operations in the Forex and exchange markets does not have to mean buying something. Trade Master 9 offers two routes either side of the TM9 App Library: the free tools library, with thousands of free indicators contributed by the community, and custom development, where professional programmers build custom applications to your specification.

The free tools library is where most searches should start. Whatever you are trying to measure, somebody has probably attempted it, published the code, and had it picked apart by other traders. Adding an indicator from there works exactly like any other tool in the terminal. The trade-off is support: free code comes as-is, and if it behaves oddly in a market condition its author never met, that is your problem to diagnose.

Custom development sits at the opposite end. You describe what you want, agree it with a developer, and receive something built for your method rather than adapted to it. That is the right route when a tool will sit inside a live strategy and needs to behave predictably, or when the idea is specific enough that nothing published comes close.

Cost is not the only difference between the three routes. Free code teaches you something, because you can read it; a commissioned tool saves you time, because somebody else solves the problem. Both are worth having. In between them sits the app library, with ready-made applications and free trials. A sensible order of attack runs free first, trial second, commission last, and by the time you reach the third step you will know precisely what to ask for — which is exactly what makes a custom order worth its cost.
