Because the TM9 platform operates through a web browser, traders can access their accounts without installing software on every computer they use. That single design choice is what makes the platform genuinely portable, and the benefit shows up on exactly the days you did not plan for.

A delayed flight with a hotel business-centre machine. A work laptop that blocks installations. A home computer shared with a family. A borrowed device while your own is being repaired. In each case the alternative is either being locked out of your positions or asking somebody's permission to install trading software, and neither is appealing when a market is moving.

What you get when you log in is the same account with the same open positions, the same history and the same market view as your usual device. Nothing needs exporting, rebuilding or re-configuring, because the setup belongs to the account rather than to a machine. A position opened this morning on a desktop terminal is right there in the browser this afternoon, stop attached.

It also removes a planning problem: you no longer have to decide in advance which machine will be your trading computer, because any of them can be. The security side is covered on its own page, but the summary matters here: data between the browser and the platform is encrypted during the session, and nothing remains on the machine once you log out. On shared computers the usual care still applies — log out properly and avoid saving credentials.
